3 Ways To Stay Hydrated This Winter

Winter is a time when we usually try and avoid anything that can further add to our cold state; as such we turn to stay away from water which isn’t a very good thing as our bodies need to be hydrated. Below are three easy steps to take in order to remain hydrated during this cold spell.

Hydrate with fruit
Fruits can be an excellent source of water. Did you know that apples and pears contain about 84 percent water; they also contain Vitamin C which is known to combat flu.

Tuck in to salty foods
Foods that contain sodium will help you retain water. Some great winter options include tomato soup, minestrone and butternut-squash soup

Cut down on caffeine
Caffeinated drinks can cause dehydration, so try switching to decaf where possible.
